Mark Carney warns Covid-19 will hit UK economy
Bank of England Governor Mark Carney said that Britain should prepare for an economic blow in connection with the deepening effects of a new outbreak of Covid-19.
Speaking on Friday, Carney said that the central bank had already detected signals from British and foreign companies with which he contacted that the virus would significantly slow down economic activity.
According to Carney, the central bank expects global economic growth to decrease more globally than it was in the entire history of the development of Great Britain.
The Northern Ireland Region on Thursday confirmed the first case of Covid-19, bringing the total number of people infected in the United Kingdom to 16.
